Tips for successfully working with clients
I have been involved in the field of personal development for over 25 years and I see literally hundreds of clients each year in my Leeds Hypnotherapy and Provocative Therapy Practice.
Many clients have already previously attempted to resolve issues prior to seeing myself, and may have seen other NLP Practitioners, Hypnotherapists and Talk Therapists without success.
The processes I use produce the very best results and are also extremely time and cost effective.
I have listed below key tips that will ensure that clients get the best value from session time
- Completing the clients notes that I send out with as much detail as possible
- Arriving on time to allow a full hour for client work
- Being aware that although I will ask clients about some past events, the focus of each session will be on what needs to happen next
- Sometimes what clients expect in my client sessions will be very different to what happens. However my focus is always on using all my skills to assist clients in fully resolving “the problem”
- I always ask clients to feedback honestly about what they are noticing during the session, rather than what they think I want to hear!
- I encourage clients to ask whatever questions they have in mind during our appointment, but remind them that they won't always get the answers they may anticipate or want to hear
- I also remind clients that some conditions take 2-3 sessions (and sometimes longer) to resolve and there is no "magic wand" to resolve client problems, despite what people say or what can be seen on TV.
- I ask all clients to make time to properly listen back to the CDs of the sessions as directed and practice the exercises I give them, as this is a crucial part of the process for accelerated change.
